Services
“Noise Impact Assessments that deliver and Acoustic Design advice that doesn’t let you down.”
Noise Impact Assessments
Vine Acoustics Ltd undertake Noise Impact Assessments to assist developers with planning applications required for converting existing buildings into residential dwellings, building new homes next to existing noise sources or developing parcels of land.
Liaising with local authorities to determine exact requirements, bespoke reports are produced to move forward planning applications swiftly and efficiently.
A BS4142:2014 noise impact assessment is to ensure your commercial noise source or activity (AC unit, condenser, ASHP, new convenience store) does not cause high levels of noise disturbance.
A BS8233: 2014 noise impact assessment relates to new residential schemes and assessing the current acoustic environment, looking at noise sources such as road traffic, rail noise or commercial noise for example.

Acoustic Design Advice
Are you an architect tasked with providing your client with separating floor and wall detail for compliance with Approved Document E (ADE) or a developer | builder | self build needing to meet minimum standards for sound transmission?
ADE forms an essential part of the building regulation process. Building developments that consist of newly converted or new build dwellings | mixed use projects | house conversions need to pass strict sound insulation testing upon completion to ensure the building is signed off.
How do you avoid a failed test that isn’t carried out until the end of a project? Vine Acoustics Ltd have years of acoustic industry experience and extensive knowledge in the various systems to install and the ones to avoid.
The resistance to the passage of sound often comes with headaches, deviations in specification, poor workmanship and breakdown in communication that can be avoided by setting clear objectives at the design stage of a development. This allows peace of mind that suitable levels of sound attenuation will be achieved.
